Our Network
ZZ Servers offers access to 5 major backbones in one simple connection. We use multiple Tier 1 network providers for a choice of Internet backbone routes, with BGP to route your data through the fastest path possible.
Current Bandwidth Providers:
- UUNet (2 x OC-12)
- NTT/Verio (Gigabit fiber)
- Level 3 (Gigabit fiber)
- AboveNet (2 x Gigabit fiber)
- PAIX (Peering with over 37 Networks)
- WilTel (Gigabit fiber ring)
Our Network Backbone Providers:

The AboveNet backbone, a Tier 1, high-performance, global optical IP network, has been optimized for scalability, survivability, performance, efficiency, and manageability. The current AboveNet network consists of a set of sites interconnected in a partial mesh extended to accommodate a larger number of sites, moving toward a 2-level hierarchy. This 2-level approach allows arbitrary scaling at either level according to various technological and business imperatives.

Level 3 operates the first global 10 GBPS (OC-192) seamless, redundant IP backbone. Level 3 has successfully constructed an international fiber optic communications network connecting Europe and the United Sates. A continuously upgradable network with high-capacity, scalable, peering interconnections ensures uncongested connectivity between the largest Internet backbone networks in the world. The average latency is 40 milliseconds or less in all regions, with less than 1% packet loss.

The MCI UUNet network spans more than 4,500 Points of Presence (PoPs) throughout North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim and is arguably the top Internet backbone in the world. The MCI IP network maintains high levels of reliability with redundant and diverse paths to avoid single points of failure and provide optimal routing and traffic flow. The MCI state-of-the-art network operations centers provide proactive network monitoring and fault resolution 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

The NTT/VERIO Network spans North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim and is arguably the top Internet backbone in Asia.

Our network is now peering with more than 37 other networks at the Switch and Data PAIX (Peering and Internet Exchange) in Palo Alto. PAIX is the largest commercial, neutral Internet exchange point in the world, where major telecom carriers, Internet providers, and content networks exchange Internet traffic. |
